TEO program coordinators/managers are available for advising. Teacher candidates may contact them to discuss particular needs or concerns.

For personal crises requiring urgent counselling, emergency drop-in hours are scheduled daily in the UBC Counselling Services office. You may request assistance from a program coordinator/manager in the TEO to arrange counselling services.

In case of sudden illness that interferes with your ability to function as a teacher candidate, you may seek and obtain an emergency appointment at the UBC Student Health Service Clinic located next to the hospital emergency department on campus. You may also request assistance from a program coordinator/manager in the Teacher Education Office.


Help a Friend

Find out how to help if you’re concerned about a friend who is feeling hopeless or thinking of harming themselves.

If you are concerned for the wellbeing of a colleague in the program, you may wish to meet with a program coordinator/manager in the Teacher Education Office. The program coordinator/manager may reach out to them to advise and support, or submit an Early Alert Report.
