2023/24 Winter Registration Guide – Rural and Remote Program (Elementary & Middle Years)

Registration opens on June 9, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.

You will register in a standard timetable which contains all required courses for the Winter Session. Teacher candidates may not add or drop courses from the standard timetable.

Your course schedule will be provided by the rural & remote program coordinator. The 2023/24 winter session course schedule will be published on May 9, 2023. Course schedules are subject to change before the start of the academic year.

Registration Instructions

You are currently registering for the winter Session (September to April). Registration for the Summer Session (May to August) begins in February 2024

Step 1: Check registration date and time.

Your registration date and time will be displayed on your Student Service Centre account two weeks prior to registration.


Step 2: Create worklists

You can create worklists at students.ubc.ca/ssc by adding the applicable standard timetable (STT).


Step 3: Register in a worklist or add a standard timetable

On your registration date, log in to the Student Service Centre (SSC) and register in a selected worklist or add a standard timetable as follows:

  1. Click Course Schedule.
  2. Select Session: 2023 Winter.
  3. Click Browse > Standard Timetables.
  4. Select your program: BEEM Year 2.
  5. Register into the standard timetable: 2023 Winter Session: Rural and Remote Teacher Education Program – Elementary & Middle Years – Year 2.

Step 4: Print course schedule

Click on Timetable to print your course schedule. Re-print the schedule in mid-August in case changes have been made.


Step 5: Financial summary

Click on Financial Summary for information about deadlines for tuition and fee payment.


Note that the Financial Summary will reflect tuition and student fees due for the winter session only. You will register again next February for Summer Session courses to complete your program. Additional tuition and student fees for Summer Session coursework will be assessed at that time.


Step 6: Review contact info

Review your mailing and email addresses. Make sure they are correct.
