Registration Instructions

You are currently registering for the Winter Session (September to April). Registration for the Summer Session (May to August) begins in February 2027.

Click the accordions below for detailed instructions.

The Teacher Education Office will register NITEP Year 3 teacher candidates in the required Education courses for the 2026/27 Winter Session: EDCP 362D, EDUC 344.

Follow Step 2 to create a saved schedule to add your additional arts and science courses and Year 4 pre-required courses in consultation with the NITEP coordinator.

Prior to your registration date, log into your Workday account at myworkday.ubc.ca and create a saved schedule. You will need to create two saved schedules, one for Winter Term 1 and one for Winter Term 2.

A “saved schedule” is a draft timetable in Workday where you can plan out your classes for the upcoming academic session. Creating a saved schedule does not register you in courses.

  1. On the Workday homepage, click the “View My Saved Schedules” button.
  2. Click the “Create Saved Schedule” button
  3. Enter a name for the saved schedule and select an Academic Period.
    • Reminder: You must make a separate saved schedule for each Academic Term. Courses that span Term 1 and Term 2 will only appear in the Term 1 saved schedule.
  4. Select “Ok”.
  5. Select courses to add to your saved schedule.
    • Search for a course using the search box and/or;
    • Use the filters to narrow down your search by Academic Level, Delivery Mode, Meeting Days, etc.
    • Click on the down arrow beside a course name to expand it. You can view the required course activities (e.g. lecture, lab, discussion, etc.), grouped by activity type.
    • Click on the:
      • “i” icon to view course section details. Please note that add/drop deadlines are not included here. View the course schedule to find the add/drop date for course sections.
      •  “+” icon to add a course to your saved schedule.
      • trash can icon to remove a course from your saved schedule.

On your registration date, log into Workday Student and register in your saved schedules for both Winter Term 1 and Winter Term 2.
