Friday, October 23, 2026 is the annual BC Professional Development (Pro-D) Day.
Schools across British Columbia are closed and classes are cancelled so teachers and teacher candidates can participate in professional learning, build skills and connect with colleagues online or in person.
A variety of opportunities are scheduled each year. Events include subject-specific conferences, workshops and webinars hosted by school districts and professional associations.
Some events are free for teacher candidates, while others require registration or membership fees. Free events are listed at the top of the table below. Conferences from the BCTF’s PSA Day page are included below.
