Due to COVID-19, teacher candidates in the 2019/20 Bachelor of Education program have had to quickly adapt their teaching and learning styles through the use of online platforms. We are showcasing some of the wonderful examples of projects created by them as part of the community field experience.

- What is the name of the community partner or group you are working with?
- Community of educators
- What is your project’s subject area(s)?
- Creative at home learning activities
- Tell us about your project!
- My website includes a wide variety of at home learning activities ranging from art, literacy and SEL focused experiences. The main function and special feature of my website is an “Ask Me” page where educators can request ideas for specific curricular connections. I have included things like a reading corner, an art page, a book club, an SEL journey and anything else teachers are struggling to manage in these ever changing times.
- Did you face any particular challenges in the planning, making or delivery of this project?
- If anything, a challenge was learning the technology and transferring everything onto the website platform. Other than that I created my content with specific goals and purposes in mind.
- How was the project received? Did anything surprise you about the outcome?
- This was received really well. The teachers who sent in requests appreciated and valued the work I did for them. Other teachers who visited the site have loved everything and are benefiting from the activities already on the site.
- Can you tell us about a highlight of creating this remote lesson plan?
- The highlight of this project is connecting with teachers in the community and providing them with unique activities that they can easily access and carry out online.

- Wix Website
