Due to COVID-19, teacher candidates in the 2019/20 Bachelor of Education program have had to quickly adapt their teaching and learning styles through the use of online platforms. We are showcasing some of the wonderful examples of projects created by them as part of the community field experience.

- We will be making cooking/baking tutorial videos on how to make a variety of foods. The videos will be instructional with clear visuals on each step. We will also provide a copy of the recipe to go along with the video. Each week, there will be two to three videos (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert/snacks). Tutorials will focus on specific cooking skills such as cutting, whisking, measuring, etc. Students and parents can access the videos and recipes on our blog.
- Did you face any particular challenges in the planning, making or delivery of this project?
- We had difficulties with uploading the video to our blog.
- How was the project received? Did anything surprise you about the outcome?
- We haven’t received any feedback yet.
- Can you tell us about a highlight of creating this remote lesson plan?
- Our project was very hands-on compared to a traditional lesson plan. We had to execute it in order to make the video. We also got to enjoy the food and drinks we made.
