The Teacher Education Office is delighted to announce Dr. Justin O’Hearn’s new role as manager, admissions & recruitment. Dr. O’Hearn joined the TEO in October 2018 as an admissions officer, after having worked in both undergraduate and MD undergraduate admissions and in various roles throughout UBC in teaching, learning, and research. Dr. O’Hearn completed his PhD in February 2018.
The TEO welcomes Alex Tabunar in his new role with the admissions team as undergraduate student support. Alex graduated from SFU this summer with a Bachelor of Arts in French and is functionally bilingual. Equity and diversity in education interests him and is a subject he hopes to pursue studying at the master’s level.
