Welcome Tricia Murray, Program Manager – International, Local and Rural Community Field Experience

The Teacher Education Office is pleased to announce that as of December 6, 2021, Tricia Murray has joined us as a Program Manager – International, Local and Rural Community Field Experience. Tricia comes to us from the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Office of Experiential Learning where she has spent the last 13 years working with external stakeholders to provide practicum opportunities for pharmacy students. Tricia has a BA in Sociology from the University of New Brunswick and a Diploma in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language), and she is currently taking Coaching and Mentoring at UBC Sauder School of Business.

Tricia’s role is responsible for developing and implementing the Community Field Experience (CFE) for the UBC teacher education program, and meeting the needs of teacher candidates and CFE partners. As well, Tricia will be playing a key role in designing, delivering and evaluating the CFE, a required course in the UBC BEd program.
