Teacher Education Office Maintenance Review 2022

Posted: October 12, 2022 | Last Updated: November 3, 2022

As part of a cyclical review designed to assess how existing teacher education programs in British Columbia continue to meet Teacher Education Approval Standards, Professional Standards, and Certification Standards, the Teacher Education Office in the Faculty of Education will be undergoing a Maintenance Review on November 15-17, 2022. As a result of collaborative efforts between the Association of British Columbia’s Deans of Education (ABCDE) and the British Columbia Council of Teachers (BCTC), the review is based on the principles of public interests of transparency ensuring that K-12 educators meet and maintain standards of competency and conduct.

The processes and procedures are based on the British Columbia Teacher Education Program Approval and Review (TEPAR): Implementation Framework Standards Indicators and Evidence and an overview of the Program Structure.

The Program Assessment Team (PAT) is selected by the TEPAR Framework from members of BCTC and pre-approved non-BCTC members. The UBC PAT is comprised of the following members:

Marjorie Dumont, Chair
