The Faculty of Education is offering a professional development sequence focused on anti-racist SOGI inclusive education for faculty advisors and teacher candidates. This interactive PD sequence will utilize anti-oppressive frameworks to engage in conversation about sexuality and gender in ways that center and are attentive to the intersections of race and Indigeneity. Collaborative explorations will support and cultivate K-12 practices informed by Indigenous ways of knowing and teaching practices anchored in anti-oppressive SOGI competence and 2SLGBTQ knowledge.
