Your deadline to accept the offer of admission is indicated on your admit letter and your ASC account.
Essential Steps to Accepting Your Offer:
- Log into your Applicant Service Centre (ASC) at myapplication.ubc.ca.
- Under the Education heading, select “Bachelor of Education (Vancouver)” (this includes offers of admission to WKTEP).
- Important: When accepting your offer, if prompted, you must select the “To Payment” button to pay the non-refundable acceptance deposit ($3,000) via credit card. Payment must be made, and you must receive a confirmation of payment, before your response is received by the Teacher Education Office.
- Complete the Consent Form package (which includes the Criminal Record Check procedure).
Important: You must accept your offer on ASC, pay your deposit, and complete your consent form and criminal record check for us to receive your intention to accept your admission to the BEd program.
Important: If you received an offer of admission to the Bachelor of Education program at the UBC Okanagan School of Education, please note that you may only accept an offer to the BEd at UBC Vancouver, or the BEd at UBC Okanagan, and not both.
2. Apply for your Study Permit and Co-op Permit
You must apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for both a Study Permit, and a Co-op permit. Please refer to the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) attached to your admit letter. It is strongly recommend that you start your Study and Co-op Permit applications as soon as you receive your offer of admission. Please note that UBC is not responsible for any processing delays.

5. Connect with the Centre for Accessibility (if needed)
The Teacher Education Office strives to provide inclusive, equitable, and accessible service to our students. If you have a disability that may require accommodation or academic concession during your time as UBC student, please register with the Centre for Accessibility, and if possible, by July 15 (to ensure your accommodations are in place by September). By registering with the Centre for Accessibility, you can request a new academic concession or disability accommodation, and discuss options with your accessibility advisor.
First, to register with the Centre for Accessibility, you must meet with an accessibility advisor. Please complete the steps on the Centre for Accessibility’s registration page .
If you have previously communicated with the Centre for Accessibility during your time in another UBC program, you should still reconnect with them so that any future accommodations can be aligned in the most effective way to your Bachelor of Education program.
6. Send Official Documents
If you have any condition(s) on your offer, the condition(s) must be met by June 30. Official transcripts or documentation showing completion must arrive no later than July 31, if you wish to start the BEd program in September.
UBC transcripts do not need to be sent to us.
