The Faculty of Education follows the UBC directive for all weather advisories.
All teacher candidates should check for announcements on the UBC homepage at ubc.ca. The @UBC account on X (formerly known as Twitter) may also provide weather-related updates but please note, the UBC website is the authoritative source of information and will give the most accurate and up-to-date information as to the status of the university. If the University is open, classes are in session, unless you hear directly from your instructor.
If you are unable to make it to a class, complete the absence form on the TEO website as you normally would.
If you will be at a school site that day, check the school district website for alerts and possible closures and if necessary, complete an absence form as usual.
