Welcome Greta Bartsch, interim TEO Program Manager for the Elementary & Middle Years Practicum

The Teacher Education Office is pleased to announce Greta Bartsch is the interim Program Manager – Practicum (Elementary & Middle Years), for a six-month term effective April 1, 2023. Prior to this, Greta was a faculty advisor for the UBC Bachelor of Education program. She is pleased to continue supporting teacher candidates in her new role.

Greta graduated from UBC (’98) with a BA (History) and a BEd (Elementary), and holds a MEd in Educational Leadership and Administration from SFU (’12). Over the course of her career as faculty advisor, principal, consultant, and teacher, one of Greta’s greatest joys is witnessing the “A-ha!” moments as people build their own capacity to learn, grow, and explore. Greta’s personal learning journey is enriched by her work alongside diverse groups: families, Indigenous educators and artists, the Jesuit Volunteer Corp and KenCada International Academy, Kenya. She appreciates a little dirt in her food and the learning that comes with deep challenges.

Please join us in welcoming Greta Bartsch to the TEO!
