Teaching at Crofton House School in Vancouver Elementary (2005)
Roxanne Black completed UBC’s BEd program in Elementary (2005), during which time, she was an active member of our Education Students Association. She began her career as an intern teacher at Crofton House School. For one year, she was employed full–time to work with mentor teachers planning, practice teaching, and taking classes on call while also taking part in co–curricular activities and outdoor school. Since then, Roxanne has taught full time and now enjoys her own class of Grade 3 students at Crofton House.
We caught up with Roxanne at our annual Education Career Fair where she was busy recruiting current teacher candidates for Crofton House school, inspiring them to follow her example!
