Resources for the start to the 2020/21 BEd Year

Navigating the BEd Program Modules

Becoming a teacher candidate involves seeking information, learning from and with others as well as developing both personally and professionally. To help support teacher candidates this year, Bette Shippam, program coordinator – student services (secondary) and Keith McPherson, program manager – student services (elementary & middle years) have worked together with Yvonne Dawydiak, learning design manager, to curate information and resources in a set of modules entitled: Navigating the BEd Program. These modules will provide opportunities to explore a Canvas course shell while at the same time, acquire information that is important to teacher candidate success in the coming year. You can access the course by logging in to Canvas using your Campus Wide Login (CWL).

Online Education: Digital Literacies Modules

This year, all BEd students will be engaged in extensive remote learning and teaching. We are pleased to share our new interactive online resource to scaffold your own learning during this time. The Online Education: Digital Literacies modules are designed for all those who want to build and expand their knowledge and application of digital competencies. We hope that you will find time to explore this rich resource and anticipate that it will support your own learning and coursework, and also provide valuable tools to build your competencies in designing online coursework to accommodate the needs of the diverse learners in our schools.
