Diploma, Certificate, Unclassified, and Visiting Application Form

We welcome your application to our Diploma, Certificate, Unclassified, and Visiting Studies programs.
Please make sure you review our program information and admissions requirements before filling out the form below. It would also be good to review the UBC Course Schedule for course offerings for the current and upcoming terms.
Please note that courses are offered at different times of the year, and that courses may reach capacity for registration depending on the number of students. It is to an applicant's advantage to apply early.

We are now accepting applications for Winter Session 2025.
Applications for the Summer Session 2026 will be processed in the new year.

The UBC post-degree Diploma or Certificate in Education is designed to meet the needs of educators who wish to continue their professional education. The Faculty of Education offers the diploma or certificate in several teaching specializations. We also have options for students to take available coursework under Unclassified or Visiting Studies.

Admission for these programs are done on a rolling admission cycle system.
Late applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please note that while we may be able to process late admissions, courses seats may not necessarily be available at that point.

• Winter Session Term 1 (September to December) - Application Deadline: July 31
• Winter Session Term 2 (January to April) – Application Deadline: November 30
• Summer Session Term 1 (May to June) – Application Deadline: March 2
• Summer Session Term 2 (July to August) – Application Deadline: June 21

Once you have successfully submitted the form, you will receive a letter acknowledging your application within 10 business days. Please note that if you are applying for a Session later than the immediately upcoming term, you might receive the letter at a later time. The letter will outline what other information (including transcripts) we may request as part of your application including information on how to pay for the application fee. Please monitor your email, as this is the method UBC will communicate with students and applicants.
