UBC Transformative Educational Leadership Program

On July 12, 2017, UBC’s Faculty of Education welcomed and celebrated 29 graduates of the second cohort of the Transformative Educational Leadership Program (TELP). These leaders, from districts across British Columbia and the Yukon, will take their collective learning back to their schools and districts to make a difference in their learning communities.

2016/17 TELP Graduates

The UBC TELP is a one-year educational leadership cohort-based program that draws participants from the K-12 system and other connected sectors, who are interested in system transformation. TELP provides participants with relevant and in-depth interaction alongside innovative researchers, practitioners, and world-class scholars, at an internationally-respected university. Seventeen participants graduated from the inaugural TELP cohort in 2015/16. This year, 29 graduates are taking their collective learning back to their districts and schools to make a difference in their learning communities.

In May 2017 the TEL Journal was launched as a platform to share the transformative work of TELP participants and others. Educators and researchers are invited to submit contributions to the TEL Journal, which publishes in May and November of each year.

Congratulations again to the 2016/17 TELP graduates! We look forward to welcoming participants to the third TELP Cohort beginning October 2017.
