Clinton Charlie

Coordinator for NITEP’s Duncan’s Field Centre

Clinton CharlieI have a special relationship to the Native Indian Teacher Education Program (NITEP) program having a mother, auntie, and numerous cousins who have graduated through the NITEP and UBC Education program. I have followed in their path and now have valuable tools that can help make positive change in our community and my family.

The UBC and NITEP Education programs have given me confidence and pride in myself which I can share and hopefully instill in my children, family and students. I hope to be a great mentor and role model for the youth in my community. I believe the program builds healthy leadership and good relationships. This program was supportive of my family, needs and culture.

I recommend this program to all Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people as it can be life altering—giving you a new chance at a better life.
