What is the Teacher Education Program?

The Bachelor of Education Program at UBC prepares you to teach in British Columbia schools. Completing our program leads to a Bachelor of Education degree and recommendation for initial teacher certification by the BC College of Teachers.

When you graduate from the BEd, you'll be qualified to apply for certification to teach in the province of British Columbia. You can also apply for certification in other provinces and countries (each province and country has its own certification requirements).
