Orientation day. Attendance is expected.
October 12 Thanksgiving Day (classes cancelled)
October 19 - 30 EDST 314 (classes cancelled for most sections)
October 23 Professional Development Day (classes cancelled)
November 11 Remembrance Day (classes cancelled)
December 4 Term 1 classes end
December 8 Term 1 examination period begins
December 18 Term 1 examination period ends

Term 2 (Winter Session): January 4 - May 7, 2010 (2009/2010)

January 4   *EDUC 321 begins
(Students will be assigned to the same school for this orientation practicum and for EDUC 418, the extended
January 15   *EDUC 321 ends
January 18 Term 2 classes begin
January 22 Career Fair (classes NOT cancelled)
February 2 Author Fest 4:30 - 6:00pm (location TBA)
February 15-26 Olympic Break (ALL classes cancelled)

March 29 EDUC 418A (extended practicum part 1) begins

June 21   Teacher candidates return to campus for program closure week

August 13   Last day for graduation applications to be submitted through the Student Service Centre

APPLY NOW by Feb 15Includes online application and all supplemental forms. Late applications submitted after February 15 considered based on available program space until April 30, 2010.
 
It takes 2-4 weeks to process applications. Log in to UBC's SSC with your CWL, after you have paid your application fee and received an acknowledgement email.

March 26-27, 2010 at the Radisson Hotel, Richmond. Network with other new teachers, visit the resource fair, collect valuable classroom materials. More info and registration on the BCTF website.
