You may be admitted to the Adult Education, Early Years Education or Infant Development and Supported Child Child Care Diploma programs with acceptable alternative training and experience but without degrees or formal teaching qualifications. All other Diploma in Education programs require degrees.
There are enrolment limitations in some diplomas and admission is based on academic achievement and relevant experience.
If you are new to UBC, you must complete a Faculty of Education Diploma and Certificate Program, Unclassified, and Visitor Application Form, and provide official transcripts of all previous post-secondary studies. If you are, or have completed all your post-secondary studies as, a UBC student, you need to submit only the application for admission form in order to activate your eligibility to register.

After you have submitted your application form and required documents, you will receive a letter from the Teacher Education Office which will confirm your admission assigning you a UBC student number and will give instructions on how to access information about the university and your program by going to Student Service Centre and logging in with your student number and password.
If you are not admitted, or do not register in the Diploma program, we will hold documents for one year.
